OUR MISSION
Build confidence. Gain certificates. Step back into work with proof of skills.
How We Began
Urban Trailblazer started small — planting herbs on balconies, window sills, and doorsteps for the elderely, and those with a disability providing companship and gardening, to those who needed connection. It was about easing loneliness, sharing food, and watching something grow strong and beautiful that they had created.
Over time, the projects spread — carers learning to grow, creating wreaths, to children growing in Lampton gaining knowledge of food sources, to growing on the London Underground.
We worked with housing associations, local councils, community groups even Kensington Palace, weve provided well being walks for NHS staff and carers.
Always focusing on people who had been overlooked.
Those early gardens taught more than horticulture — they built confidence, community, and pride.
Now we’re turning that same support into AQA-accredited learning.
Our Garden and Digital STEM programmes give young people a reason to show up, build skills, and gain qualifications that lead somewhere real. What began as pots and seeds has become a pathway — from loneliness to learning, from planting to purpose.
ABOUT OUR COMPANY
Urban Trailblazer CIC is a West London social enterprise creating opportunities for young people and communities to learn, grow, and connect. We are launching a new AQA-accredited STEM programme in horticulture and digital skills for 14–25 year olds, embedding science, maths, and English into practical, hands-on learning. Our activities take place in inspiring settings such as the historic Clore Learning Centre at Kensington Palace, alongside community gardens across London. We are also exploring collaborations with respected institutions, including Kew Gardens, to bring even more enriching experiences to our learners. Whether it’s cultivating sustainable gardens, building digital skills, or hosting local growing projects, our goal is to reduce isolation, spark confidence, and open doors to future opportunities.
